The Deceit franchise continues with Deceit 2. The social deduction horror game from World Makers casts players in various roles, some of which must be rooted out if the others want to survive. Unlike a lot of social deduction games, Deceit 2 has four roles in the game. The Innocents are exactly what they sound like. Their goal is to avoid death at the hands of others while completing tasks that will help them find an escape key. The next role is the Infected. These individuals can transform and will execute the Innocent given the chance. To do this effectively, they’ll need to earn the trust of the team and wait for the opportune moment. Another faction is the Cursed. They will work to sow chaos while deceiving Innocents and Infected alike. Finally, there’s the Master. Players will need to climb through the ranks to become a Master, unlocking new items that can help them escape while unleashing new Mutations to give them an edge.
