To expand your initially pitiful, barren island into a thriving city, you must recruit specialists from your tavern to fend of bandits and explore new territory. Resources are far from infinite; players will constantly have to explore in order to expand their settlement. Unlike other resource-management games, The Settlers Online: Castle Empire features an interesting economic system that requires players to foster an effective city infrastructure and pay close attention to the economic aspects of their settlements.
